Common technical delivery conditions for valves, actuators and PCS field devices

NAMUR has published its recommendation NE 167 “Common technical delivery conditions for valves, actuators and PCS field devices”. It describes the common technical specifications to be observed for industrial valves, final control elements and PCS field devices.

This recommendation replaces the withdrawn PAS 1085, contains new technical requirements and is adapted to the technical state of the art. NE 167 is therefore an independent recommendation that describes the requirements of the chemical and petrochemical industry.

The aim of this NAMUR Recommendation is to harmonise requirements for pressurebearing and wetted parts of valves, final control elements and PCS field devices, wherever this is possible and makes sense. In addition, design and function requirements are defined for valves and final control elements.

The result will be an industry standard covering all types of equipment and largely independent of user organisations.
